MarShawn Lloyd - Could be back from IR after bye Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said Tuesday that Lloyd (ankle) will be ready to come off injured reserve in the near future, Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Gutekunst suggested that Lloyd will take over the 53-man roster spot vacated by edge rusher Preston Smith, who was traded to the Steelers on Tuesday. The Packers are on bye this week, but if the Packers elect to open Lloyd's 21-day evaluation window in Week 11, the rookie running back could return to action as early as the team's Nov. 17 matchup with the Bears. After missing much of training camp and the preseason with hip and hamstring injuries, Lloyd didn't play Week 1, then carried six times for 15 yards and recorded a three-yard reception in his NFL debut in Week 2. He sprained his ankle in that Sept. 15 contest and was placed on IR two days later.

Lukas Van Ness - Set to see increased role Van Ness should see an increased role with the Packers' first-team defense following Preston Smith's trade to the Jets on Tuesday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Van Ness served as a rotational edge rusher through the first nine games of the regular season while also contributing to special teams. However, following Smith's departure and assuming Green Bay doesn't add any other veteran edge rushers, Van Ness should start with the first-team defense alongside Rashan Gary and defensive tackles Kenny Clark and Devonte Wyatt. Van Ness -- the Packers' first-round selection of the 2023 NFL Draft -- has accumulated 20 tackles (14 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and one fumble recovery during the 2024 regular season.

Impact The South Carolina product tied Edgerrin Cooper and Xavier McKinney for the Packers' second-leading tackler in Sunday's loss, trailing Quay Walker's 12-stop performance. Nixon has now started all nine of Green Bay's games this season, recording 42 total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, and three defended passes. He's expected to continue making plays for the Packers' defense following the team's Week 10 bye.

Quay Walker - Double-digit stops in Week 9 Walker recorded 12 total tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Lions.

Impact The 2022 first-round pick from Georgia played well in his first game back from a concussion, leading the Packers' defense total tackles. Despite missing Week 8's win over the Jaguars, Walker still ranks first on Green Bay's defense in total tackles with 64 across eight appearances this season. He's expected to remain a viable IDP option after the Packers' Week 10 bye.

Emanuel Wilson - Tallies second touchdown Wilson had four carries for 28 yards and a touchdown and one reception for one yard in Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Lions.

Impact Wilson bounced back from a couple quiet weeks by finding the end zone for the first time since Week 3. The touchdown stands out, but Wilson worked behind both starter Josh Jacobs and fellow reserve Chris Brooks, and the bulk of his touches came with Green Bay in catch-up mode during the second half. Wilson has been productive this season when given the opportunity, but with Brooks perhaps even surpassing him and the possibility that MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) could rejoin Green Bay's backfield, it could be tough to justify holding onto Wilson with the Packers on bye in Week 10.

Chris Brooks - Continues making impact Brooks had two carries for 13 yards and three receptions for 28 yards in Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Lions.

Impact Brooks made some noise for the third time in four games, and although he finished relatively even with fellow backup Emanuel Wilson in both the snaps and touches categories, he was the first running back to enter the game behind starter Josh Jacobs, and he could have matched Wilson in the touchdown column had he and quarterback Jordan Love connected on a short pass in the first quarter. Brooks is gaining momentum, but the Packers are on bye in Week 10 and could get back rookie MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) before they take the field again, so Brooks may not be a priority addition quite yet.

Dontayvion Wicks - Finishes without reception Wicks was targeted three times and did not catch a pass in Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Lions.

Impact Wicks would have had a better day had he hauled in a pass from quarterback Jordan Love in the end zone during the fourth quarter of Sunday's contest, but when it was all said and done he was shut out in the receptions department for the third time in nine games. Wicks has found paydirt four times this season, but he has totaled just 16 catches and all of Green Bay's receivers are healthy, so it could be worth making a roster move with the Packers on bye in Week 10.

Brandon McManus - Misfires for first time McManus made two of three field-goal attempts in Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Lions.

Impact Sunday's rainy conditions at Lambeau Field certainly were not ideal for kicking, but nonetheless, McManus misfired from 46 yards out in the second quarter -- his first miss in three games with the Packers. Green Bay will be on bye in Week 10, so those who have added him to their fantasy rosters will need to look for another option. There is reason to replace him altogether, but it should be noted that since McManus made his season debut in Week 7, only five more kickers -- pending the results of the Monday night game -- have attempted more field goals.

Tucker Kraft - Four catches against Lions Kraft recorded four receptions on six targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Lions. He added one catch for two yards.

Impact Kraft tied for second on the team with six targets, his highest mark since Week 4. Rainy weather affected Jordan Love's accuracy and willingness to push the ball down the field, so Kraft's yardage total was modest despite his increased role as his longest catch went for just 13 yards. Even so, Kraft's involvement was a positive on a down day for Green Bay's offense overall.
