2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds: Caleb Williams' odds crater

Updated Nov. 12, 2024 10:55 a.m. ET

Week 10 didn't end in a win for Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders, but it didn't affect his Offensive Rookie of the Year odds.

Well, it did — but in a good way.

Daniels threw for 202 yards in a 28-27 loss to the Steelers. It was Washington's second loss in the past nine weeks.

However, his odds shortened, probably because few other star rookies were dominant in Week 10 — specifically, Caleb Williams.

Let's look at the OROY betting board at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Nov. 11.

2024-25 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds:

Jayden Daniels, Commanders: -3000 (bet $10 to win $10.33 total)
Bo Nix, Broncos: +1200 (bet $10 to win $130 total)
Drake Maye, Patriots: +2500 (bet $10 to win $260 total)
Brian Thomas Jr., Jaguars: +3500 (bet $10 to win $360 total)
Marvin Harrison Jr., Cardinals: +4000 (bet $10 to win $410 total)
Malik Nabers, Giants: +4000 (bet $10 to win $410 total)
Brock Bowers, Raiders: +4000 (bet $10 to win $410 total)
Caleb Williams, Bears: +5000 (bet $10 to win $510 total)

At this point, it appears to be Daniels' award to lose, as he moved from -1400 last week to -3000 this week.

But this week isn't about Daniels' rise — it's about Williams' fall.

Williams was tied for second on the board last week at +2500, but after the Bears suffered their third straight defeat, and Williams failed to throw a touchdown for a third straight week, he dropped all the way to +5000 to win the award.

After a 4-2 start to the season, the Bears are now 4-5, heading into three consecutive matchups with NFC North rivals the Packers, Vikings and Lions.

The name he was tied with last week, Bo Nix, moved from +2500 to +1200 and is now second on the board, after nearly leading his Broncos to an upset win over Kansas City in Week 10.
