2024-25 NBA MVP odds: Nikola Jokic takes over as new favorite

Updated Nov. 11, 2024 12:28 p.m. ET

The NBA season is underway, which means it's time to dive into the regular-season MVP market.

As the winner of the NBA's most coveted award in three of the last four seasons, Nikola Jokic will look to make history by winning four out of five.

Celtics legend Bill Russell won four out of five from 1960-61 to 1964-65, and LeBron James did the same between 2008-09 and 2012-13.

Those are the only two names to accomplish the feat in league history.

Jokic opened the season at +400 to win the award, and through a few weeks, he is top-five in the league in points, and leads the league in rebounds and assists.

Let's take a look at the NBA MVP odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Nov. 11.

2024-25 NBA MVP odds:

Nikola Jokic: +225 (bet $10 to win $32.50 total)
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: +330 (bet $10 to win $43 total)
Luka Doncic: +500 (bet $10 to win $60 total)
Jayson Tatum: +550 (bet $10 to win $65 total)
Anthony Edwards: +850 (bet $10 to win $95 total)
Anthony Davis: +1800 (bet $10 to win $190 total)
Giannis Antetokounmpo: +2500 (bet $10 to win $260 total)

Welp, Jokic is back to his old ways again.

The Nuggets have won five in a row as of Nov. 11, and in the month of November (six games), he's averaging 28.5 points, 14.7 rebounds and 13.3 assists, while shooting 55.5% from the field and 57.9% from beyond the arc. He's also shooting 88.4% from the line.

And with that, he moved from +800 a week ago to the top of the oddsboard.
